Whether you’re shopping for a sleek Cadillac CT5 or a Cadillac Escalade for the whole family, you know you’re getting a top luxury vehicle when you buy a Cadillac. That also means you’ll get some of the most cutting-edge automotive technology, such as hands-free driving with Cadillac Super Cruise. Find out more about this incredible technology with Val Ward Cadillac
The Cadillac Super Cruise is a handsfree driver assistance system available on more than 130,000 miles of limited-access freeways separated from opposing traffic. It was introduced on the 2018 CT6 and is slated for the 2021 model year for CT4, CT5, and Escalade. This much-talked-about system is available on 2018 and 2019 Cadillac CT6 models, which you might find in our pre-owned selection.
No, you can’t just lean back and let the Cadillac do all the work, but you can make your car do a lot of it. Cadillac Super Cruise combines with Adaptive Cruise Control that controls acceleration and braking while it’s operating. Super Cruise supports services through OnStar® and precision LiDAR mapping, and works with in-car cameras, radar sensors, and GPS to detect each curve and hill on the road ahead. Cadillac’s handsfree driving system is there to make long drives more convenient and more comfortable. A driver-facing mirror verifies that you’re alert and able to take the wheel when necessary. The Super Cruise package includes three years of OnStar® for functionality support, after which an OnStar® plan must be purchased.
CT6 drivers who want to use this exciting feature can do so in three easy steps. But first, you have to make sure:

Of course, there are times when Super Cruise hands-free driving shouldn’t be used or won’t operate. They include:
